“Wilderness: A Journal of Quiet Adventure in Alaska”… Rockwell Kent’s first illustrated autobiography, and perhaps his most popular tome – from immediate rave reviews when it was first published in 1920 to the (ongoing) reprints here in the United States as well as across the globe [Russian, Chinese, Britain, Germany, et al.].
Offered here are three editions: The first (1920) edition; the 1970 Wilderness Press/Ward Ritchie Press edition [signed and numbered; the last of Kent’s books that he would see published (he died in 1971)]; and the 1996 Wesleyan University Press edition with Doug Capra’s foreword.
