–First edition. Published by G. P. Putnam’s Sons, New York and London, The Knickerbocker Press, March 19, 1920. Bound in buff buckram and stamped in gold. No dust wrapper with this offering (BK);

–Modern Library edition, reset in a smaller format. New title page, dust wrapper and preface. Bound in red cloth. 1930;

–Ward Ritchie Press edition, 1970, signed by Kent, and numbered – 1312 of 1550 copies. In original box. This edition includes a new preface (the third) by Kent. It was the last major publication by the artist/author before his death in 1971 (VA);

–Wesleyan University Press edition, 1996, with a foreword by Doug Capra; and including extensive hitherto unpublished pages from Kent’s original Alaskan journal. (BK)
