 Early 19th century dome-top, leather covered, brass tacked trunk, with the initials “O.A.,”

The trunk has forged iron handles and the interior is lined with pages from the “Congressional Globe” – of western New York State. Most of the visible dates include June and July of 1817. Mention is made of Governor DeWitt Clinton and Lieutenant Governor John Tayler; and the communities of Auburn and Aurora (Cayuga County), and Warren (Trumbull County). The leather hinge is severed.

Approximately 24 inches long by 10 3/4 inches high, by 13 inches deep.
