This sheet brass standing spout lamp (with a light weight hanger) measures approximately 15 inches to the very tip; the lamp itself is approximately 6 7/8 inches in height, and the weighted base, 4 1/4 inches. The lamp is either Dutch or English, and of the 18th or very early 19th century. The conical base has a flat back which would allow for hanging from a wall by its petaled hanger. A trough or spill is positioned below the spout to catch excess oil. A wick pick hangs off of the cup or reservoir. (The miniature spout lamp, pictured, is also available.) The base is weighted with sand, to help support the lamp when standing.
