“Rocks at Stonington” is by central New York artist Edward Christiana (1912-1982). Stonington being in Maine… Christiana often visited Maine, with his family, to paint the seascape. The painting was created in 1969, as noted in inscriptions (with his signature) on the lower right of the recto, and across the top of the verso stretcher bar.
Framed, the measurements are approximately 30″ by 48″; unframed: 24″ by 42″. The cloth matting within the frame shows some staining. The painting itself is in good condition.
