Oarsman by Rockwell Kent

The Oarsman is a wood engraving created by Rockwell Kent in 1931. The print measures ~5 3/8 by 7 inches, with 150 proofs printed. This wood engraving is listed as number 86 in The Prints of Rockwell Kent: A Catalogue Raisonne by Dan Burne Jones. The piece is signed by Kent, lower right.

Like The Bather, this image is one of 12 that were used in an advertising campaign for American Car and Foundry Company (1930-1931). Oarsman was thirteenth in the series and appeared in July, 1931.
