Harvest Time, 1950, a heavily mercerized cotton cloth with a repeating pattern design by Rockwell Kent for the producers, Bloomcraft, Inc. of New York: marketed under the general title of Happily Married. This sample measures approximately 21 1/2 by 22 inches.
Kent created numerable designs for fabrics. Most of these designs reside at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, with the second largest collection being at The Rockwell Kent Collection, Plattsburgh [NY] State Art Museum. A small handful of these designs actually went into production, among them, Deer Season, Harvest Time, Pine Tree, and Seagulls and Dolphins.
