Spirits chest with folk art heart and diamond motif; with 7 bottles of the same or similar decorative pattern. Circa 1840-1860. Missing 5 small bottles. Bottles, having been hand blown, are inconsistent in size; and some have ground pontils while others do not. 16 1/2″ wide by 10″ high, by 12″ deep. The box shows wear, from use, including some loss of paint, and rubbing, internally. Some wear to the gilt decoration on the bottles; some typical defects in the glass; and not all stoppers are original, which is consistent with the long term use of these objects.
