1859 Sample with Brilliantly Colored Flora and Fauna

An embroidered sample which highlights a hiking Swiss (?) man, a hen, brilliantly colored flowers, a cornucopia and basket, and a winding grape vine with ripe fruit. The surviving threaded writing in the center reads: “Luz… 1859.”
The piece measures 15 by 14 1/2 inches. Staining throughout which fortunately did not diminish the brilliance of the colorful threads.
