Carving of Abraham Lincoln in the round but not cut from a single block: it is constructed of multiple sections—top hat, head, body, shirt, bow tie and base. … Arms are part of the base; bow tie is pinned to the cravat; single nail connecting hat to head and single screw from base to body allow both parts to move. … Pencil marks provide color to all of Abe’s hair as well as his bow tie. He measures approximately 10” high with the widest and deepest parts being the base—at ~6 3/4” by 3 3/4”. The wood may be maple.
